Current Events

So I've been wanting to get into the habit of watching the news for awhile now, and I've been on a mission to find a home news channel ever since. I'm really unsure of which network is the best. I really love the laid back, homey vibe, and the how-to's that I get from nbc. But I also like the politic reports of fox. But then I also like how abc is always on everything. I really would just like to have it all in one network. Does anyone wanna go on this mission with me, in comparing nbc; fox; and abc, and any other network you can think of? Whose really the best?!

Is ONE village really enough?!

It takes a village to raise ONE child, the saying goes, but what happens when the complete village around that one child, isn't so much of a great role model anymore? I've been seeing more-so of the parents being the children, than the actual child these days. Not to mention; some parents don't have the best fashion tips to offer either. Lately I've been finding myself pondering more and more about the future, and what's to come of it-and that is when I realized that if we think these little kids are 'grown' now, I am in no rush to see what they wil be like in the next generation! Will that be your child in the next generation? Will it be your best friends? Or your sisters? If so-what will you make of the time, that you think will make the difference with your child? What would you do different from these parents nowadays? Would you talk to your child about other topics than school work? If so, what would the topics be? In what way would you give your child advice, and nourish them with optimism? Let's play a game! I'll give a scenario every other day(cause I see so much thingsdone inappropriately), and you guys will let me know what could have been done differently, etc...
Whose up for the challenge?!

Raise of hands if you shop at the famous sephora! What do you get?! And what do you like about the product you get?! Every time I find myself cruising down fashion ave in nyc, i can't aid but to notice the beautiful bright lights of sephora. Sitting there...just trying to fathom what exactly is about sephora that attracts so much of my attention...i got nothing! Make-up isn't even apart of my daily regimen, so it isn't that. And it sure as hell isn't the prices..so what could it possibly be? I REALLY DO NOT KNOW! But enh..*shrugs*..as wayne says, "what's a world without enigma?!" One thing for sure, is that it possesses me, almost as if it wants me to buy something from there. And sadly-thinking of something to buy, to fulfill my urge, is thee farthest capability my brain will physically do. So what do you guys buy when you shop at sephora?! Do you get the urge as well..like me? How long do you spend in sephora? Tell me everything! I wanna hear it all!

My Leave-in Conditioner

Sooo after searching far and wide for the ingredients of my all natural leave-in conditioner; it is finally concocted. It contains:
-1 cup of purified water
-1/2 cup of aloe vera juice/gel/both->>adds true moisture to the hair strand, and protects from heat damage.
-1/2 cup of coconut milk->>great for rehyrating
-2tbp of vegetable glycerine->>well known humectant that attracts and binds water to themselves;  creates layer of oil over the hair strand.
-1tbsp of avacado oil->>its packed with vitamins a d and e, and contains more potassium than bananas. Quick way to get multiple nutrients onto your scalp for improved hair growth.
-20 drops of tea tree essential oil->>anti-septic, anti- fungal and antibacterial properties, it is a soothing remedy to a dry scalp. A little goes a long way.
-1/4tbsp jamaican black castor oil->>great for thickening dry, brittle thinning hair.
Now I concocted this formula for my own personal needs. I have dry hair and scalp, and my edges are constantly thinning throughout the different hair styles I get. I also have dry and brittle split-ends from time to time. This is why I intended to also inclue jojoba extract, but it is very rare to come by-however, I will add it as well if nd when I fnd it/decide to substitute jojoba oil instead. If you decide to give this a shot, please keep me posted on the process and progress! If you would like to fabricate your own natural hair products, I suggest researching the carrier oil properties, the use, benefits and side effects, as well as proportioning. Good Luck ;D

'the trip' dum dum dum DUMMM..dum dum dum DUMMMMM-------->>{07/31/11 1:30am}

Ok so I haven't been on in what feels like forever, but I've been up to stuff. It's been days since my first and last post(when I told you guys I was planning a vaca), and I've only come as far as finding the price of a passport. Ugghhh...why does vaca-planning has to be so frickin hard?! One thing I know for sure, is the location-to the beautiful sandy beaches of Barbados! After that...I got nothing! I know I wanna do a little touring, and I know I wanna do a little of what the locals do as well(when in Barbados, listen to the famous motto about the romans, and do as the bajans do..lol). It appears as if the south coast would be most fun-as it shelters the famous St. Lawrence Gap(a strip of restaurants, bars, shopping centers,etc...), but likewise, it is most famous for a reason(because that is where most tourist most definitely, will be). South coast has most of the budgeted hotels: guesthouses: and apartment areas. East coast however; happens to be the largest region, and is best known for it's sports-proof accomodations. East coast is said to have some of the roughest waves...pratically offering surfers right on in! West coast; the calm carribean seaside of the island, is best for it's peace and quiet: laid back atmosphere, and suits best for people who would appreciate the stillness, and whose pockets could compare(very expensive). You don't read too much about North coast though, and something tells me that Central Barbados and North coast maybe one in the same. Central Barbados is known for it's natural attractions, and historical sites. So there you have it! All of Barbados, analyzed into this one essay; and even though each coast may have somewhat of the same things that can make any tourist a barbadian overnight-they also have that one thing that they're well-known for having a better quality of than the rest.
....*Sigh*

07/27/11; 11:44pm{T.I.M.E}

"Hmmm..there is something about the ticking arms of a clock, that annoys the crap outta you when it passes you by. Ooh ooh *raises hand* I know! It's when you've wasted it..when it passes you by, and you realize you've yet, to do a thing!" Today started off with a false impression, of what may have seemed it would be a good day-but that wasn't the case. TRUE; I finally mossied my way on down to apply for a job, that I was allegedly been applying to for a good 2/3 weeks now! Lazy, I KNOW(fingers crossed..I hope I get it :D)! Referring back to the original focus of this post...after applying, I went with one of my best friends to court(YES! I said court)..which btw, happened to be thee most boring experience of my life! Ugghhh..it was like watching turtles race..yes..THAT BAD! In addition to that, I had to wait outside for her, because it wasn't enough room inside. You ever had/have that friend that stays in trouble: that likes the drama so much he/she sends postcards to it when they move: that friend that always needs your help; doesn't appreciate it btw, but isn't always there for you?!! Well that's 'THAT' friend! And even though I feel what I feel about that friend, I still am there for them. On the contrary-I just really feel like my time was wasted today, and I cherish my time, rather it was tv I would have watched with it...that's besides the point. You know what I'm talking about? People are constantly trying to tell you "it doesn't matter, cause you weren't doing anything anyway,"-but it does matter to you because, what you were doing with it is besides the fact, and you would rather have that freedom of deciding what you invest it in??? Ok-so my day wasn't the best it could have been, but it wasn't the worse either(despite the fact of my time passing me by, at a county municipal court room..lol). On anotha note...I can now get back to my research for my vacation I am planning-and THAT, makes me very happy!!! Toodoos ;D
